Check with your pharmacist and/or GP. DS2 had ABs for a manky finger and it was meant to be 4 doses. School would not give him the mid day dose (I could have gone in to do it but they would not administer it) and the pharmacist checked and it was OK to split that middle dose between the one just before and the bedtime one.

This may not always be the case though.

Seriously - you're supposed to wake them up but SERIOUSLY no-one does!! I do b/fast, lunchtime, mid/late pm and then pre-bed and it seems to work fine.

I've followed 3senough's regime for 4 doses

belgo · 22/04/2007 18:13

I would give it
7am
11am
4pm
8pm

I'd do as belgo suggests, or maybe
8am
12.30pm
5.30pm
10pm as you go to bed if you can bera to wake her up

an early morning dose that both of you have to wake up specially for is no fun.

princessCROComel · 22/04/2007 18:36

My dd had that type too.

Our doctor said that if she was in hospital she would be woken for her medicine 6 hourly.

But at home she said if you know she will definatly wake in the night (my dd does) then give one then but otherwise space them out as much as possible. Maybe you could give her one when you go up to bed.

She said that having them too close to one another causes upset tummy.
