Over the past few days I have notice an odour, coming from well... me. From my girly bits. It's not a stale smell as I shower twice a day, and I wear cotton knickers, but I don't know if others can smell it and am really embarressed if they can. It smells very well... you know.

Is this normal? Should I buy that kind of deoderant? help!

ok. erm. well. if you have unusuaul discharge as well a being a bit whiffy down there then maybe speak to gp about it.

i'd put it down to the last few days being warmer than usual, and possible a build up of sweat as well. probably nothing to worry about, and unless people go right upto your crotch area and have a big sniff i doubt they notice.

Maybe you have bacterial vaginosis? its a bacterial infection which can cause a smelly odour (usually slightly fishy... sorry!) and sometimes a clear discharge. It is caused by a range of things, but could be the hot weather, or using soaps / perfumed products around the area. It may resolve by itself or you can go to your GP / family planning clinic to get some antibiotics to clear it up. The most important thing is don't try to over-compensate for the smell with more perfumed products as it will only make the problem worse.

Cant believe I'm posting either but...
a while after a laproscopy a few years ago, I smelt fishy - it was horrible and wouldn't go with washing etc. Went to Drs and they said I'd probably picked up an infection in hospital - you know what dirty places they are! - v common, anti- bios sorted it quite quickly. Don't know if it would have cleared up anyway. Hope this helps.
