Crap mum - I can't remember! She felt very hot to the touch before we took her to bed so we can her some baby nerofen and a damp sponge down, put her to bed in light tog grobag and just a nappy, winbdow open.
She still feels v hot to touch although is asleep and seemed fine in her self (kissing the garden table, stroking it and saying 'ahhhh'!)

Anyway - I have a crap thermometor, a 'First Years' one for taking temp under her arm and it just read 35.9 - ???? What does that mean then???? Should it 34 or something like that?

think that is absolutely fine - i think ordinary temps should be 37.4, whilst underarm you take off 0.5 degrees. so 35.9 sounds quite ok - sounds like what i have got when done ds temp.

Phew, thanks. she just feels so hot. And yes it is 37.4.
Thanks for the reassurance, I can go back to enjoying chatting now in other areas of MN!

Bit late now, but normal range (for the ear thermometer thingies at least) is 36-38C. However, I always try and get a "normal" reading when they're well.

For example, ds1's "normal" temperature is 36C whereas ds2's "normal" temperature is nearer 37C. So if ds1 was at 37.5C I would be far more concerned than with ds2 being the same temperature even though he's younger, if that makes any sense?

My DD has been like this before. Her belly was really hot to touch, but she was acting fine. It went away after she was sick a couple of times. But I think it was because she had been at my MIL being fed sweets and other junk!
