been told to move doctors after 30 years!

ok then me and my three daughters are registered with the same doctors practice after 30 years of being with that practice they have now told me im out of area and need to find another docs! i have recently moved house, but never come across this before have moved three times but stayed with the same one! anyone else have to do this?

My sister moved and didn't change docs despite being advised to. But then she wasn't covered by their out-of-hours service, and she needed them in the middle of the night, and had to go to casualty. So she's agreed to move now.

It's common, I'm afraid, GP practices have catchment areas. You've just been lucky in the past. Your local primary care trust should give you a list of practices that you can try.

We've just had to do the same but moved 6 miles, was told they wouldn't do visits etc.
