As the title suggests this may be TMi but im a bit concered, but I have a massive fear of going to doctors due to MH problems. Part of this fear is from a fear of being belived.
So I havent been breastfeeding in 8 years but resently ive ben getting a clear discharge from one of my nipples. Not a lot and it dosent happen when i try to expel it. Just wondering what the hell it could be and tryed to stay away from Dr Google. My anxietys are really rissing and i dont know why! SO just thought id pick mumsnets pearls of wisdom

Well I’ve googled on your behalf and it would seem it’s very unlikely to be anything sinister but probably needs checking out as all breast changes do. You don’t mention a lump and the discharge isn’t bloody which are positive signs. Seems there are many benign reasons.

Anxiety is an awful thing Flowers

I feel your pain as I am anxious of the dentist - but it’s best to go otherwise anxiety takes over your life - it’s probably fine but best get it checked out

A hormone imbalance may be to blame. Higher than normal levels of prolactin can cause such problems to arise but this can be treated with tablets. Do go to the GPs in any case, they will want to see you.

The thing that worries me about going to the doctor is it dsent hapen when i try to expell it -squeeze it. and i just think that they would thinm im lying if they cant see anything iyswim

They won't think you are lying. If it makes you feel better, take a picture or keep a tissue in your bra so it collects on it and then show them. I had it happen once but my nipple was sore and I realised the cold weather was making it raised and rub on my padded bra Blush
