i am a regular [yawn] but a bit embarrassed hence new name. I really need some common sense advice please. After a really bad chest infection in November after i was hacking for England for two weeks, i coughed up a few specks of blood in my phlegm [sorry if TMI] on two consecutive mornings, just once each morning. I had a dry sort of clearing my chest cough all winter and now the warmer weather has come it is pretty much better. Saw a chest specialist yesterday on advice of GP because i used to be asthmatic and the cough dragged on all winter. She wants me to have a chest x ray. now I had a road accident as a child and had countless x rays and really have a phobia about them now. Just hate them and worry about the radiation exposure [i know chest x rays are very small exposure but have had so many big x rays in past]

We desperately want to start trying for another child. I've been putting it off to get chest sorted out. so i have to start making some decisions. thing is, what would you do in my situation? Now that cough is better would you have the x ray or just start TTC? Have you ever coughed up a tiny bit of blood during a chest infection? Sorry if i sound completely barmy, just this is really worrying me at the moment. Thanks.
