Chicken Pox or not?

DS3 (2) has a couple of spots on his back along with clusters of red spots on both thighs/top of legs. All are raised but only the ones on his back look like they will scab over. He has a cough so part of me is thinking it's a viral rash, but can't help wondering if it could be CP, but very mild...

fever in the past couple of days?

Hmm, not as such, runny nose and cough, very clammy at night. Bit grumpy, but not too bad..

DD1 has just got over chickenpox 5 days ago had a few which scabbed but others just little red lumps all going now when this morning dd2 has 2 red spots on back of neck. Lunch time changed nappy to find about 20 red lumps several with white heads. Just putting to bed and she has 3 on face about 15 on bad a few on chest and 3 in hair line.
Most come up as just red lumps, only a few come up a white heads or blisters. White heads and blisters scab others just fade away unless picked when they scab.
Lots of chickenpox going around. Never noticed dd2 2yrs having fever or feeling ill until spots appeared but dd1 3.11yrs did complain about feeling ill.
Just wanting for ds3 6mths to break out if he waits until dd2 has been clear for 5 days then he'll come down with it in a fortnight.

Could be then going by that.

Figured I'll know for sure within a few weeks anyway if DS2 comes down with it!

dd1 told me on the 3rd day when they all came out and she was finding had not to pick them that she didn't like the chickenhops any more and wanted them to hop off had to laugh at the image of the chickenhops hoping down garden path
