Hello. I was sterilized in October and was in agony straight away. I have had an ultrasound and the nurse reckoned everything was fine - just a small cyst on my left ovary but this wasn't the cause of the pain (according to the doctors), and eventually I was referred back to the hospital.
I had the hospital appointment three weeks ago now, and the consultant said nothing can go wrong during the op, and he examined me to see if the clips were in the right place - which he said they were; so he has absolutely no idea what can be causing my extreme pain and lengthy periods. He has advised that I need to go in for a laparoscopy just to have a further look, but I think I am going through normal waiting times even though I'm in agony.
The pain is mostly in the lower part of my left side and in the middle of my pelvis. It hurts in my stomach when I need to go to the loo (for both). My lower back in now starting to hurt a lot; and like I said earlier, my periods are very lengthy now, lasting about 7 weeks each time. I have absolutely no energy anymore, and I think I'm worried that if this is nothing to do with the op, are they ignoring something and allowing it to get worse.
Has anyone had any problems when they have been sterilized or does anyone know what could be causing this.
Thanks for reading this far - I did waffle a bit Any advise is very welcome.
