DD2 now on 4th day of diarrhea. Advice needed.

DD2 (4 months) was admitted to hospital on Tuesday night with Viral Gastroentoritis (sp?) - we were allowed home late wednesday night with her able to keep dioralyte down but no milk - she had stopped vomitting but still had the diarrhea.

It's now 4 days on and she still has the diarrhea - how long should this go on for ? She is back on her milk but only 2-4oz at a time.

Thanks for the reassurance. Unfortunately cannot try rice as DD2 is only 20 weeks.

She only had 3 dodgu nappies yesterday and none so far today so hopefully it is all clearing up - she is definitely getting her apetite back now, started to getseriously frustrated when I take her bottle away after a few ounces

Foghorn - that is a definite sign she wants her food - that is exactly what DS did after his op and he had never done that before.

that's really good foghorn. It is so awful when they are ill and it seems like it will never end but then eventually they do turn a corner and the relief is amazing. Hope she continues to improve.
