Ok - stupid confession...but

I had no time to shower/bath last night and as it was time of the month, I wiped myself with a face cleansing wipe. I know I know I know.

But now, even after a bath this morning - it hurts like hell!!

It stings and makes me gasp with pain when I go to the loo. Shooting pains inside and out.

What on earth have I done to myself and what can I do to make it stop?! Help please!

Right - much cranberry juice - much coffee and then much, much vodka and cranberry juice

tea coffee etc make me worse I'm afraid - water, cranberry juice, water water and more water is what does it ime. Never tried the lemon barley - do tell us if it works!

mrsflowerpot · 19/07/2004 14:54

and obviously if the vodka does the trick, I'd love to know!

mudda - how are you now? I've had cystitis twice following periods recently. I got some stuff made by Canesten called "Oasis" from the pharmacy. It helped ease the discomfort. As others have said, drink, drink, drink (water/cranberry juice, not vodka!) If you don't feel better after 2 days, see your dr and take a sample with you. Antibiotics will clear it up quickly. Poor you, it's horrid. [sympathy]
Oh yes, DON'T DRINK ORANGE JUICE!

Thanks Discordia and everyone else. Feeling much better this morning. Still a little uncomfortable but nowhere near as bad as yesterday which was just evil!

Funnily enough I got the Oasis stuff yesterday afternoon. Tastes like mouldy dishwater and made me gag, but by 11pm there was already a marked difference. Am swimming in cranberry juice too.

Thanks everyone, you're all lovely!

I'm a bit late but if you're still in pain, use canestan cream on your bits, tis really good.
