i have a cousin who is a few years younger than me. she wants to know if she gets the pill from the family planning clinic will it go on her records so her gp will know she is on it? (her gp is a family friend which is why she wants to go to the family planning clinic as it is) i can't help her cos i've always got mine from the gp.

I had the same problem as my mother was my practice nurse. I think you can still ask them not to tell your gp but I am not 100% on this. I know for certain that if your cousin goes to the GUM (genitro-unrinary medicine) clinic at her local hospital (see yellow pages) then they won't call her name out, just a number, and they don't share information at all. hth.

I went to the fpc, and it didn't go automatically onto my Dr's notes, but I told the dr anyway!
