DT1 has had a rash on her arms hands and a bit on her belly for 3 days now, it only seems to bother her at night, it looks like a nettle rash, I assume its an allergy of some sort, but have no idea what from.

uriticaria? possibly from a virus. my youngest ezperiences this and it is like nettle rash and tends to get worse before it clears.

Never heard of that, she has not been poorly at all, but will keep an eye on it, thanks.

Sounds like a rash my dd1 had, turned out to be a virus, I was told to give her a couple of days worth of piriton to calm the itching.

Keep an eye on it though and make sure you so the glass test just to be sure.

Have you any calamine lotion or witch hazel in the house? or Germoline?

totaleclipse · 13/04/2007 22:12

No none of that I have aloe vera gelly, do you think that would help?

Yes anyting cooling should do the trick, even after sun.

Germoline is good as it has a local anathsetic in it. calamine lotion is what I'd use though.

Frizbe · 13/04/2007 22:14

that might help, what is it people use for kids with really bad chicken pox, baths with a teaspoon of bicarb of soda isn't it?
Aqueaous cream good if you have some too?

totaleclipse · 13/04/2007 22:19

problem solved, dh asked to leave work for a while so he could go to late night chemist, now have piriton

I was using aqueous cream, but it did'nt seem to help.

Thanks for the advice
