Have just seen an offer in my mag for one, free with P&P of 4.95, says it has built in tunes to keep up with different pace and talks (tells you how far you've gone etc.). Have had a quick look on ebay and have seen similar for next to nothing with v.little P&P. Anyone used one/have one...not sure what to go for. Thanks.

I have a really cheap no-frills one - it was a stocking filler from DH last year. I used it a lot to see how far I was walking when I first got it but now I don't use it at all!

Bumping for anyone more clued-up...!

I've got a really cheapy one that I suspect doesn't count steps properly. Well, I know it doesn't because one day it will say the school run is 3000 steps and the next it's 200. I read a report recently saying that you should expect to pay around £20 minimum for an acurate pedometre.

depends what you want to use it for imo. i ahd a cheap one, wore it for a few days at work and a couple of weekends and when i was confident that i was doing way more than the recommended 10000(?) steps a day, i put it in a drawer and havent seen it since!
