geopathic stress: hippy nonsense, or to be taken seriously?

didn't know whether to put this under health or mind/body/spirit...am v interested in geopathic stress and would like to know from any mners what they think, whether they have any experience/knowledge about it. do the machines that claim to remove stress lines work? is there anything in this?

a lot of it makes sense to me, but is couched in v v new agey terms sometimes...not that there is anything wrong with that, but it's the risk to health that im interested in. basically in one place that ds sleeps he does really well. and in another he always seems to sleep badly and ends up sideways at the bottom of his cot: geopathic stress believers would argue that he is moving away from the line. a neighbour that's into this stuff reckons there is a line running through his cot...help please.

I found this quote on a PRO geopathic website

'DISCLAIMER: I am convinced that this material is true as I learned it from some very respectable physicians. However, the hard science is seriously lacking and I can not provide and specific references to back this information up. However, I am basing much of my work on the supposition that this is true.'

So they guy can't prove that it is true, but he thinks that it is, and want you to believe it too. Sounds like a load of cobblers to me, but then I am a very cynical person about this sort of thing.

when you say line.. do you mean lay lines.. or electricity / telegraph lines etc? sorry had to ask!

Heathcliffscathy · 19/07/2004 13:44

paps: ley lines, underground rivers, places where the earth's geomagnetic force blips all of the above...meant to be v bad for health see this i know that some people will totally dismiss this out of hand, but is there something in it? i'm tempted to think so cause of ds's sleeping position as described below...

ok.. answer my own questions.

I do now about this and have read quite abit about it. Have you heard of Nikola Tesla - he discovered alot about EMF etc. I have a watch that has a Tesla chip in it. The idea behind it is that it protects you from EMF etc which upset the balance of the natural magnetic field the earth gives off.

Teslar watches contain a tiny magnetic chip that imitates the Earth's natural magnetic field frequency. The magnetic field of the human brain and the Earth's normal magnetic beat are said to be similar. I have the Ladies Duo Tic - Clear Band!

See the Vatican have approved it!

Papillon · 19/07/2004 13:51

tesla watch

hmb · 19/07/2004 13:56

Yeh, but the Vatican has only just admitted that Gallieo was right and that the Earth goes round the sun, so I wouldn't look to them for cutting edge science analysis

hmb · 19/07/2004 13:57

And the Eaths magementic field is in a state of constant change, as it is cause by the molten iron based core of the earth which is moving all the time. Magnetic North is always changing!

Thanks Sophable

Well I can say that after I bought my watch the pain I had in my left hand, wrist went away. Bit like effect a copper bracelet has with magnets.

This whole area is very interesting and scary really... abit like the rabbit hole. Scalar technologies etc..

Heathcliffscathy · 19/07/2004 14:07

thanks papillon...i need a new watch actually

but seriously, it's more ds i'm worried about...

anyone else have any experience of this stuff?

Yes of course, I hope someone reponds.

I try and keep our bedroom as electrical free as possible. Could not sleep with a TV in our room - really don´t like that about hotel rooms.
