One of my eyes was sore this evening. I didn't think anything of it. Time passes on and it continud to be sore.

I looked in a magnifying mirror. I found at the corner, inside the eyelid, towards the bottom of the lid of the lid, some whitish goo. Thankfully the kettle wasn't long boiled. I got a container, poured in some warm water with salt. I cleaned my eyes with this solution. I see there is a small red spot there.

The white stuff wouldn't be good. Its probably pus and infected.

I'm terrified with it being the eye.

My GP surgery is closed til Monday. There is an out of hours service. Any idea as to what this eye problem could be? Would this be a matter of urgency to be seen to tonight or could it wait til tomorrow or even Monday?

I suspect it's a stye. I never had one before. From what I read on the net, it's probably more than likely a stye. My mam had a stye before.

Katymac,
Thank you so much for your message. I never would have thought about going to the chemist to speak to the pharmacist.

My eye is still slightly sore this morning. There's not much white stuff anymore. I used warm water to soothe it this morning. I went to the chemist and spoke to the pharmacist and I got an ointment for the eyes. I hope it helps.

they are great with stuff like that and know who to refer on to for if it needs more

lots of minor stuff you just need to know what the right thing to do is and the pharmacist is great
