adult tooth loss

Hi,

If an otherwise healthy adult, age 41, complained of tooth ache for a few days, then suddenly announced their back tooth had fallen out - would you be concerned?

What would the cause be?

I guess localised gum disease?

I think you're probably right Ringle. Now to persuade my DH that he really needs to see a dentist pronto (after putting it off for 25 years!)
