Pain in feet when I walk after sitting for 5+ minutes

Anyone have a clue what's wrong with me?

This has been going on for about a year now.

When I've been sitting or sleeping (especially when I first get out of bed in the morning) I'm finding my feet quite painful when I walk.

It feels like the bottoms of my feet are heavily bruised.

Also sore if I squeeze the sides of my feet or the heel.

I've no problem walking after about 30 seconds of discomfort. I could keep walking without pain. This is only when I've not been sitting/standing for a while.

Anyone had this or know what's wrong?

Sounds like Plantar Facititis (sp)

I have identical issues. Think it's plantar fasciitis.

definitely plantar fasciitis. I had it for over a year and then suddenly i noticed it wasn't there anymore.

Sounds like Plantar Fasciatis (not sure if that's spelt right!) I've had it and it can be extremely painful, just as you describe it.

Not much advice to offer really as mine went eventually after consulting a podiatrist who gave me some exercises to do. Good footwear is a must tho, l found anything with a thin sole really aggravated it. (Being an invigilator didn't help!)

Sorry not much help really x

Fit flops help
Freeze and orange and roll it about under your foot- really effective.
See a physio ( or look on YouTube for excercises)
There are night splints you can buy buy they aren't comfy!

I had this last year ApplePie: As well as the advice above you could try getting special insoles for your shoes (Boots do them for example - Scholl and own brand). They help.

Never walk barefoot was other advice I had plus rolling foot over bottle of ice cold water and exercises.

My plantar fasciitis lasted nearly a year then went as suddenly as it came.
Good luck.
