Hi All, Am 45 and suddenly experiencing very dry eyes, hair and skin. To give a bit of background periods are regular and no problems, I exercise 5-6 times a week but have in the last month experienced very dry eyes, hair and skin. Any recommendations on products, diet etc very gratefully received.

Are you drinking plenty?

Dry eyes is a "thing". Hylotear drops are good

Eye drops for your eyes. I just get cheap ones, seems fine.

Aveeno products are excellent. A good heavier duty moisturiser is Doublebase, you need to ask for it in the chemist.

I don't have dry hair!

Yes, dry eyes is a 'thing' - my optician has been saying for years and years that mine are dry, enough to interfere with vision, and saying 'doesn't it bother you?' It never did until recently. It can cause excessive watering, too, which is odd!

Supposedly dry skin, hair and eyes can be an easy way to spot a fatty acid deficiency. I'm prone to dry skin and hair so take omega 3. No idea if it does anything for me or not really!

Agree with comment above ....if many areas of the body change at once it can sometimes indicate a deficiency - you can buy specific vitamins for hair and nails, but also agree that omega 3 is extremely good ....it transformed my hair completely after just 6 weeks of taking it. I buy kids capsules from Amazon which are good and reasonably priced (I find the adult ones way too big to swallow).
Make sure you are staying well hydrated and balanced diet. This time of year; as the seasons change, often has an impact on hair and skin.

For dry skin, I swear by Eucerin, they do an amazing face cream and a Replenishing Body Cream - you can buy from Boots and Superdrug. Very nourishing without clogging pores. I'm a beauty therapist so I'm very fussy with what I put on my skin, but I LOVE this brand. If your face is particularly dry, application of facial oil before bed will help.
