When did your periods return after baby?

Dc2 is currently 14 months and still no period. I'm still bf at night but thought it might have returned by now. After dc1 (also bf) it was 10 months. Is this normal?

Mine didn't return until about a month after I stopped feeding completely.

Gave birth at 27 weeks, was exclusively breastfeeding twins and got my first period 7 weeks after giving birth, so babies were equivalent of 34 weeks - I think I missed 8 periods in total for a twin pregnancy, twin birth and breastfeeding twins for a year!!

They're 12 now and I obviously still feel hard done to!!!

That does seem a bit unfair namechanged!

I only missed a month after birth, the following month they were back, I'd only just finished the post partum bleeding, I was furious, I thought you didn't get them back while breastfeeding!
I'm still feeding over a year on and have been regular ever month since.

I had twins and breast fed them for about 18 months. My periods didn’t return until they were two years old.

Another one who only missed one despite EBF and they unsettled the baby every damn time!

Started again when DD was 9.5 months. Just had my second period 6 weeks after the first, but they're incredibly light. 2 days of light bleeding. Hoping they continue like this but expecting they'll get heavier at some point. Arrived after DD started sleeping through finally, but she's still having about 6 feeds in the day.

I BF until she was 4 months and they returned at 9 months. I had PND though and my DM died so maybe that had something to do with it.

Bang on 28 days after giving birth, even though I was BF. Probably got a week or so clear between post-partum bleeding and the usual. I was worried about what was happening until I checked the date.

Ebf all of mine and period arrived 4 weeks after each and every birth. Was gutted I can tell you!

3 months each time despite EBF every hour or so. I cried.

Sounds like a lot of you have had the opposite problem so I'll count myself lucky!

I think it only majorly matters if you want to ttc!

EBF'd and they came back at 6 weeks
Also came back 4 weeks after miscarrying although I bled for 3 weeks - even more ! My body seems to want to ovulate when it's not meant to

Didn't get mine for 15 months after DD (they restarted two years to the day after my last one - spooky) so I was pretty lucky with that. Slightly less with DS - he was about 10 months I think.

EBF both of them. Periods back dead on four weeks both times. Gutted!
