Right thats it! Ive officially had enough. My skin is worse now than it was when I was a teenager

Can anyone recommend a spot cream that will zap the buggers?

I just dab abit of witchhazel gel on mine if I get any, seems to shoo them away.

Is it hormonal? as it maybe your skin doesn't like the type of skincare products you are using.

thanks for replying. Yes, it is probably hormonal - having trouble with AF too. GP wants to put me back on the pill (which doesnt suit me) and I am reluctant too anyway as DH has had the snip.

But these spots are getting me down. Just wondered if there was any magical cream that would blast the buggers.

i am very spotty at the moment especially on my face and tops of my arms and back. the last 5 days ive been using tea tree soap from Holland and Barrats its just a bar of soap that comes in a box.

Its amazing!!

Rub it on one of them puffy exfoliator things with some water and gently scrub the problem areas and it is really making a big difference

The soap was about £1.50 something like that. You should give it a try. I have tried so many spot treatments and none of them work for me

I already use tea tree stuff. but thank you anyway. All suggestions are very welcome.

Pricey but magic is stuff from Clinique. It is amazing!

juicychops · 04/04/2007 11:04

ok, sorry twinkle. But in my experience this soap works better than the tea tree scrubs that ive got from boots and superdrug. It seems a lot stronger and also when you have scrubbed and washed the soap off you can feel how dried out it has made the area which dries the spots up. If you rub your skin it actually squeaks!!

sorry to go on about it, i just think its really good after trying so many things that have done nothing that they say they will.

Im also very self concious of my spots and they get me down a lot. dont even like being naked in front of dp! Especially as the doctor says its not acne and he doesn't know what it is or whats causing it

twinkleinthesky · 04/04/2007 11:22

thanks juicychops.... I will try some then.

Whats is called Noodlestroodle?

anti-blemish solutions - clear blemish gel

Twinmummyx2 · 04/04/2007 12:46

Sudo-crem works well, leave on over nihgt, that is what my teenage daughter uses.....you just smell like a babies bottom for a while...lol

I use Freederm gel and I think it's fantastic. You have to ask for it at the Pharmacy counter. About £9.00 I think but lasts quite long. Has worked for me anyway. I just use a little all over my face and jawline, after cleansing and before moisturising. I've found it to keep the spots at bay and any that I do get clear up really quickly.

thanks everyone

As a teenager I used medicated cream called Panoxyl - it was quite powerful stuff that you used sparingly but dried spots up quickly. Not sure if it's still available.
