Some of you may be aware that my friend bubblicious has been suffering a lot of pain following a small heart operation & was told it was more than likely an inflamation of her heart lining & to continue with the painkillers.

I text her today to see how she was & she told me that last night the pain was so bad that she had to go to hospital at 2am & have a strong painkilling injection, and has been told that she will be admitted to hospital if there is no improvement in the next 2 days.

She is still in pain & I am worried about her.

Don't know if she will see this, but wanted to let her know I am thinking of her & to send her lots of get well vibes.xx

Wait until after 10 and ring then. I have had loads of dealings with hospitals and they always say ring at 10 - I think that must be when the ward has calmed down after the doctor's rounds etc.

pinkchampagne · 05/04/2007 09:53

Thanks for that, DG, I will ring after 10am.
Have bumped her other thread for you.

Thanks. I hope you get some better news today. I know it is a bit late to be saying this, but Bubblicious' husband sounds like he had his head in the sand re her condition. I hope his eyes are fully opened now.

pinkchampagne · 05/04/2007 10:18

I hope so too, DG.

Got through to the hospital & she is still there. They are keeping her in & moving her from the clinical decisions unit to another ward.
I managed to speak to her DH, who told me that she is still in pain, but not any worse & if I can get someone to have the boys early this evening, he may be able to take me over to see her.

It seems that they are still not 100% sure what is causing her all this pain.

Poor thing. I hope you get to see her and can pass on our good wishes.

Saggarmakersbottomknocker · 05/04/2007 19:32

Hope you can get to see her pc. And that she starts to feel better very soon.

Chandra · 05/04/2007 20:49

Have you been to see her? how is she doing?

Pinkchampagne · 05/04/2007 22:33

Managed to get to see her tonight. She is now taking drugs to try to control the pain & has had a cardiagram, which shows some fluid around her heart, but all else seems ok.
While I was there, they tried to discharge her at 9pm because of this!
Bubble was slightly stressed out by being turfed out like this without warning, so eventually they moved her to another ward.
She should be home tomorrow hopefully, and I have told her that she has lots of people on MN wishing her well.

Thanks for the update. Hope it all settles down very soon. Poor bubbly.

Pinkchampagne · 06/04/2007 10:20

Hopefully bubble's DH will be picking her up this morning.

And then looking after her properly?! At least they have the longer weekend, during which he presumably does not have to go to work. And it is so lovely out here - Bubblicious should get the garden chair out and take in some lovely sunshine! Hope she is feeling better soon. And thanks for keeping us informed PC.

Pinkchampagne · 06/04/2007 10:30

I hope that this little scare makes him realise that he needs to take care of her & not expect so much so soon, DG.

Bubble is home now! She came home at lunchtime & then slept until late afternoon.
When she has a bit more energy, she will be back on here to post her details!

She had to go to hospital today for blood tests etc, and she's still in a bit of pain, but I think she is resting a lot more.

bubblicious · 08/04/2007 16:04

Hello, everyone it is me!!!!!

Still in pain, very sleepy from the painkillers, but otherwise ok!

DH is being very kind to me I think he had a bit of a wake up call when I got admitted, and when he saw what drugs they are giving me.

I am due to see the cardiologistic in the next week or so, So I guess now its a waing game for the pain to go

Thank you to all those who answered I was very touched and PC thanks for coming to see me and for phoning the hospital , I couldnt believe they never told me you rang!

3easterbunniesandnomore · 08/04/2007 17:43
