I didn't mind his seeing me with no jewellry or nail varnish.

But I still wore makeup .

my dd had some sparkly nail varnish on (half term treat last hols). when she went to a & e they couldn't see it as it was so faint and couldn't get a reading from her fingers.

But just think, the surgeon would have seen you all saggy and floppy - not holding in your stomach or presenting your boobs from the best angle. If someone were still interested in me after that, I'd be bloody delighted!
