I'm facing a week in hospital. Other than reading and watching crap on TV, what on earth am I going to do with myself? Any ideas?

Depends why you're in there
You might feel too crap to do much!

bump6 · 02/09/2017 00:14

Could someone download onto iPad a series you have wanted to watch?

AhYaBastart · 02/09/2017 00:16

Download Little Alchemy/Little Alchemy 2! Spent ages playing Little Alchemy when my Dd was in hospital. She had glandular fever so was sleeping a lot, I had a lot of spare time!

Audiobooks? That's my go to.

Also puzzle books/apps. Someone bought me an adult colouring book when I was in hospital. But they forget to get me the pens. Confused.

I love listening to podcasts or audiobooks while doing a game or puzzle, so sudoku, phone puzzle games etc, or knitting/crochet/drawing??

As someone said, you might feel too awful to do much or look at a screen.

Let me know if you want any podcast recommendations!

I played games/apps on my phone, and some brain training ones. Read lots
Spent time on here Grin mainly reading classics topic
Got really bored and wandered around a lot, sat in a&e for some entertainment Wink
Chatted to some staff I knew
Wandered some more until they threatened to chain me to the bed

Thank you ! Yes podcasts would be good if you have any recommendations that would be great. Unfortunately I'm not into handicrafts or puzzles or games. Are there any interesting apps anyone can recommend. Otherwise yes it will be Mumsnet! Grin

Apps
Sudoku - as it says!
Peak and Lumosity - both brain training type ones
Candy crush and panda pop are easy ones I play

I'm addicted to the phone game Township, it's really fun.

In terms of podcasts it depends what you're into but some I like include Reply All, Answer me This, Serial, Case File, This American Life, Radio Lab, 99% Invisible, Freakonomics, TED radio hour, Stuff you should know, How I Built This, StartUp, The Longest Shortest Time

They are mostly American, if anyone has favourite UK podcasts I'd love recommendations! The above are all ones I listen to regularly though.
