Can anyone help interpret an MRI image of my knee please?

I have a seriously dodgy knee and had an MRI scan yesterday. I have a copy of all the images but don't have the report or recommendations yet. It could take a couple of weeks to get this information- in the meantime, are there any experiences MNers who would take a quick peek and give a rough idea of how it looks?
Consultant suspects a meniscus tear and I can't bear waiting to find out! I've been googling like mad and comparing pictures but I am definitely not medically qualified!

It might help if I attach a photo...

It takes 13+ years to train as a musculoskeletal radiologist and even then they would have the benefit of high resolution images, different planes (sagittal, coronal, axial), etc. No-one here is going to provide any meaningful information on the basis of that image.

I wasn't really expecting a full diagnosis on here, more a general heads up if anything glaringly obvious was apparent.
I do have all those images but it seemed overkill to share more than one...

You need to wait for your consultant, even if anybody on here answers you have no idea if they are Ronald McDonald or a specialist.

There is some info here but it won't help you with a diagnosis - the internet is no substitute for your consultant

How did you get the scan images?
I had a bad knee and MRI scan. I was diagnosed with a torn minescus too. I had arthroscopy and had my cartilage/meniscus removed.
Ive been very pleased with the outcome of the operation, but I now feel cheated, missing out on the scan photos! Huff!

It was a specialist knee clinic, they just gave me a DVD with all my images on it. I was meant to see the consultant the same day but I couldn't wait. Fascinating to look at, I just don't understand most of it! I've had a knee arthroscopy before and it was a success but didn't get the images last time Smile

Can we take bets! I reckon a torn medial meniscus - see the white bit in the triangle under the patella. However no medical knowledge just another knee patient

signed Ronald Macdonald Grin

Come back and tell us when you have the consultants diagnosis.

I thought the same as you , ditto no medical knowledge just another knee patient here too.

Wandastartup · 26/08/2017 22:18

That's a rubbish image( not helpful..,)

Zippyzulu · 01/09/2017 20:06

It is indeed a 'large' tear in the medial meniscus, well done Ronald McDonald Smile. Awaiting date for repair...
