Sorry. 3 or 4 times a year recently I get these tiny blister like spots on my chin, they really burn and gradually get worse with my whole chin swelling up!! I've kept area clean , not picking, clean hands and rest of face is clear. It's always same area and really sore not to mention ugly. It's day one but I know it'll be awful tomorrow. Does anyone know what this is? Seemed silly to go to gp but probably will now as it is reoccuring.

Looks like a cold sore to me. Try Zovirax.

Mayhemmumma · 25/08/2017 19:11

Oh really? Never thought of that, I've never had one on my lips but family get them so it makes sense! Thank you

Oh yes, cold sore. The patches are good - Zovirax not the boots ones.

thebigbluedustbin · 25/08/2017 19:25

Yep, herpes. That's why it keeps coming back.

I had one on my chin once and it hurts like hell. Poor ds had one up his nose he shouldn't keep shoving his finger up there in the first place.

BhajiAllTheWay · 25/08/2017 21:54

Are you a bit run down? The virus often flares up randomly when your system has taken a bit of a bashing.

Ouch to nose!!
Yes rather run down - the school holidays are taking their toll...!
