Things feel wrong - fibroid?

I have had a number of symptoms for about half a year that I put down to perimenopause and normal aging: heavy and painful periods, shorter cycle, flooding, bloating, clots, worse than usual PMT. But during my recent last period I struggled to insert a tampon and it feels "wrong" inside. I feel "full" and seem to have less room in my vagina. I also had an embarrassing (and traumatic, particularly for my DP) situation the last time we had sex (around 3 weeks ago) when just after penetration, my DP snapped his frenulum - I think because I seem to have a swelling at the front of my vagina. We were about ready to try again when bam unexpected period and tampon issue.

I'm 42, does this sound like normal things that happen to a 42 year old or should go and get it checked out as it seems to tick a lot of fibroid boxes.

Having swabs next week, on my period at the moment so couldn't do them today. Hopefully it will have finished by then (bit of a slow burner this month!).

Sorry only answered half your question GossipGirl, I've had an internal examination and am waiting for a scan appointment to come through (not sure what type, think that depends on the blood test result).

I hope you get some reassurance soon.

Good day today - CA125 test is clear. I am still bloated, uncomfortable, "wrong inside", and full, but I am also relieved. Ultrasound next week, dreading that a little less now.

Good woman ! I also diagnosed myself ovarian cancer via Dr Google . Paid for a private scan and didn't have it ! I was just really stressed 😩

You will see the wheel turn slow for non cancerous gynae issues but they do turn . I had my very large fibroid cut out eventually . Good luck

And with the fibroid I felt full . I basically felt having a very large lump in me what else can I say ! I do not miss it Angry
