Anyone ever had a reaction to anadin extra?

I took 2 for back pain about 9pm and have woken up about an hour ago with a general feeling of strangeness. My stomach feels wrong - not sore exactly but slightly sick and unhappy, and my heart is racing. I feel a little like you do before you start a tummy bug but no sign of anything.

I've taken a piriton which I think has helped slightly but still feel odd.

Possibly the caffeine?

Yes although I'm not typically sensitive to caffeine. V odd.

I don't get on with it at all. The last time I took it, I ended up having to take indigestion remedies for a week afterwards (on the advice of pharmacist). Terrible stomach pain.

I had what I can only describe as the worst panic attack ever after taking it - feeling of being not quite there and everything tingling and feeling a bit faint and funny. Just awful. It wore off after the tablets wore off. I can tolerate every other painkiller fine but for some reason those really didn't agree with me!

Does it not have aspirin in it? That might account for nausea? Gastritis?

I had the same thing a few years ago and ended up in hospital with severe gastritis. Maybe try some rennies or better still gaviscon liquid. I hope it settles down soon 💐

Extreme light headedness(sp?) and shakes. I've never touched them since.

Thank goodness I found this thread! I've been waking up throughout night after taking anadin extra, severe stomach pains, bloating and nausea 😩 did anyone find something to get rid of it feel like I've got gastroenteritis 😭😭
