red hot/headache/no appetite

ds5 hasn't eaten since tues night (drinks though) says cold, but very hot. I'm trying to control with calpol, but he is so sleepy too. This has been since Wed morn. he's completely lifeless.says he has a headache.
Should i visit doc (sat morn = a&e though) or let it ride and assume it's a bug. His friend has glandular fever, but my ds hasn't got a spotty/white throat...so don't really think that. Any advice, thanks. (no sicness or diahorrea though)

Phone your GP Out of Hours number or NHS for advice now.

i just think that if it's a bug they will send me away to give him calpol. That's why I dithered!

Just thought I'd let you know that he has tonsilitus. i never knew it could make you so poorly!

Aww tigi - hope ds feels better soon. You've probably been through the worst of it without knowing what was the matter too! Love & hugs (and icecream) to ds.

yes the doc said eat icecream!I always thought tonsillitis was just a sore throat - I'm amazed! Also the doc told me to give nurafen to get temp down (and calpol too)but when i went to pharmacy said he can't as he is asthmatic! I was cross with the doc (at the hosp walk in) telling me that! I'd already told her he has asthma! He wont take the antibiotics, so just printed off some nasty tonsil pics to show him as a bribe!

printed off a picture - you mean mummy - that's the sort of thing I do! Re: doctor - I find that the pharmicis know a lot more that the doctors. Doctors are taught to cure problems and pharmicis know what all the drugs do and what the side affects are.

the pics are working tho - taking medicine fine now!
