Nervous about polyp procedure at Queen Elizabeth hospital in Woolwich, London -

Hi,
I have to have a uterine polyp removed at Queen Elizabeth hospital in Woolwich, where I was referred by my GP.

After attending my gynae appointment today after a scan, the place does not inspire confidence: it is heaving with patients and I was waiting over an hour for a pre-op assessment.

The impression I got was that nobody gave a monkey's. One nurse who was texting didn't want to help me when I asked her something.

The QEH feels like a war zone and I'm not sure I want to risk having a procedure there because it seems chaotic and massively understaffed.

Has anyone had any experiences of it, or know what the doctors are like? Or should I go back to my GP and get another referral elsewhere? I'm due to have a 15-minute procedure under general anaesthetic that sounds straightforward but now I'm worrying about what could go wrong.

Thanks
