Worried ds2 age b4 may be asthmatic - can anyone let me know what signs to look for. I need to be informed as my GP is by her own admission Crap.

Is he wheezy? Does it get worse at a particular time?

Change your doctor or your doctors surgery

I have a paed appointment for him coming up as he is autistic i thought i would mention it then.

The main signs I noticed with my two were:

  • coughing when they'd been running around
  • coughing at night

Ds2 was also wheezy but ds1 rarely wheezed.

Does your GPs surgery have an asthma nurse?

powder28 · 29/03/2007 14:51

If you think he has asthma then you really need to speak to the nurse or the doctor straight away. Thye will probably see you today if you are worried

Ok I will go but see another gp in the practice. thanks.

No asthma nurse coppertop, and not wheezy. Coughing at night though.

Thanks for telling me to go to the Doc, no asthma (thanks goodness)but he has some antibiotics to take. That's one worry off my mind. I was probably overreacting as he has been regressing a bit and wet himself twice at Nursery this week after a long time dry. His behaviour is going downhill again and really I can't wait to see the paed as i have some questions regarding adhd as well as the asd.
