Have DD at home after she threw up 4 times last night. She's refusing any solids, sips water very rarely, but doesn't seem uncomfortable; she's just sleeping a lot. Any suggestions, as she probably needs some fluids? I tried a fruit puree but she didn't want it and she spat out a bit of banana. She has a strange red rash on her cheeks but she's had it for over a week (pre-vom) so I'm not linking them.

Keep offering water, or rehydration fluids (Diarolyte, weak full-sugar Ribena etc). Ice lollies might appeal and are a good way of getting fluids in.
Don't make her eat if she doesn't want to, but when she fancies it, toast and honey or jelly or something might go down better than fruit. Avoid dairy for a bit as it's tough to digest.

Agree with Mrs Badger, don't worry that she is not eating and I would let her sleep as much as she wants. Just keep offering fluids and possibly checking temperature too.

Thank you for excellent advice - she was happy to eat some jelly and she's grazed a bit since, so she must be on the mend.
