condoms advice!

Have just made the decision to come off the pill(after only being back on it for four months)because it was making me horribly hormonal and wondered if somebody could reccommend an ok condom? Haven't had an awful lot of success with them in the past as they tend to make me very dry during sex and very sore after, even with using lube. Thanks in advance.

Are you allergic to the latex?

SugarmagEatsMatzah · 28/03/2007 11:42

Have you tried oral sex first? Then you won't be so dry!

We've gone back to condoms after many, many years on the pill. DH is not a big fan but we seem to be getting on ok with the ultra-thin ones.

SugarmagEatsMatzah · 28/03/2007 11:44

sorry did I scare everyone off

natmeistergeneral · 28/03/2007 11:50

Yep, oral does help but my husband, ahem,'goes' on for ever and during which time I'm a bit sore and dry. Could be a latex thing-can you get latex free?

Try asking the pharmacist. G'wan, g'wan, g'wan. Nice big smile!

PinkTulips · 28/03/2007 12:01

don't get durex... they're so tight they cut off the circulation that only leads to one outcome.... sigh. dp hates them

we got the cheap ones in lidl before and they were fine.. the sensitive thin ones. will be switching back as soon as this pack of durex is finished

SugarmagEatsMatzah · 28/03/2007 12:02

ah yes, I can sympathise. Maybe you could try shortening the length of time of actual intercourse but make up for it with lots of foreplay?

PinkTulips · 28/03/2007 12:08

trust me, dp doesn't take that long anyway!

natmeistergeneral · 28/03/2007 12:29

Which ultra-thin ones do you and dh use sugar?

Durex featherlite - I can't guarantee there aren't better ones but I was wary of cheaper brands as I remember a number of my friends having "accidents" in my uni days.
