Letrozole treatment for breast cancer - side effects?

My DM (69) has recently been diagnosed with breast cancer and has started treatment - initially letrozole hormone therapy for 3m then review to see how it's working and plan surgery and further treatment from there. She's been taking the letrozole for a week now.

A further complication is she has quite significant memory/cognitive problems for which she's refused to seek any help. The cancer DX has forced the issue a bit and she's going to have memory tests next week.

Unfortunately her memory problems have increased significantly over the past few days - could this be a side effect of the Letrozole? I know it's listed as one of the less common side effects so that makes sense - is it likely to settle once she's been taking it for a while or continue throughout the treatment?
