Ended up at the urgent care centre 2 weeks ago
Raging tonsilitis :(
Sadly I'm allergic to penecillin. I cannot take erythromycin (nephritis) or metronidazole (rash) either.
The nurse seemed sceptical I was unable to take so many meds 🤔 but other than that was very thorough
She rang the microbiologist and he said to give me doxycycline and i had a weeks course
She also took a swab
I got a letter from my Dr surgery yesterday asking me to phone re the swab.
Why?
I've had the meds. Throat is better b7t I have had is going throat issues since feb/March - this is my second bout since March
What can the Dr do?
