I had just eaten tea last night (chicken korma) and was singing to my DS when I felt what is like a popcorn shell stuck in the back of my throat.. not deep down but like at the left side.. sort of like the very back of my tongue/tonsil/soft palate area?
I tried gargling, eating bread, picking with a cotton bud.. but to no evail. What could this be? I'm a worrier as it is so I'm panicking now.

Most likely a tonsil stone or you've scratched the back of your throat. Try sticking your tongue out as far as you can in a mirror and using a cotton bud to gently push on the edges of your tonsils - if there is a stone it should pop out. Lots of You Tube videos about them!
