My voice is going funny!

I don't have a sore throat, swollen neck glands or anything but my voice is really strange, it sounds like there is a big strain on it and sounds like i have a sore throat. it's worse today than yesterday, but i feel ok, slight cough but that's all. What could it be, DH is hoping i'm going to lose my voice - and it's starting to sound like i moight!

No I've not being doing anything that could have strained it. I did have a lot of yucky catarrah in my throat a couple of weeks ago, and this morning when i got up i coughed up a big lump of thick greens tuff (sorry, TMI), but have had no cold, or sore throat or anything. It's almost a whisper now

From what youve said it does sound viral - they can hang aroud without you knowing and come and go for a while. Doesnt sound like anything to be worried about though may be an idea to go to the docs. If it is a virus he wont give you anything for it unfortunatley but at least it will out your mind at rest!
