I agree, twice a day to start, IF your feet are in poor shape.

Try once a day first, and if you're still horned, go for two.

expatinscotland · 26/03/2007 21:28

I have to increase sometimes during sandal season.

Although now with my Croc's my feet are a lot smoother

MrsMillionsofcremeggsplease · 26/03/2007 21:32

Yeah but you're wearing crocs, that's the pay off.

O.K. I've had 3 massive tubes of the stuff sent over and will be starting at the weekend. My feet are so bad, they have a sort of smooth pebble feel to the soles. I have slipped many times on the floors whilst having bare feet. This is not good.

Soapbox · 26/03/2007 21:33

Sorry Cod but there is a new foot on the street

Pedikur

This little beauty dissolves the hardskin very speedily - then you scrape it all off. It is not unusual to scrape off a couple of tablespoons worth of hard skin in one sitting! It is seriously fabbo

Nikki76 · 26/03/2007 21:34

Why are Crocs so bad?? Haven't even see any of them about??

Beetrootccio · 26/03/2007 21:35

what a good idea - to wear socks in bed (especially while dh away0 and get my feet smooth for summer

controlfreakyfluffybunny · 26/03/2007 21:49

if you do 2 x a day ie am and pm arent your feet all greeeeezy when you put socks / shoes on in morning?? how does that work then??

ceolas · 26/03/2007 21:55

Cod, do you think Scholl would do me a pedicure with a fungal nail?

I had a pedi once when pg and couldn't even reach my own feet any more, but felt a bit embarrassed as they were so hoof-like.

I use something now, can't remember what it's called, but it is quite nice although when I put it on it leaves my hands feeling as though they are coated in wax (which is why I wear socks to keep it off the sheets)

Would love to not have to do my own feet, but haven't even had a haircut in almost a year so the time and expense wouldbe impossible to justify (it's rather more than $15/£8 here)

GrumpyOldHorsewoman · 27/03/2007 11:47

Soapy, love the idea of scraping off a couple of tablespoons of hard skin, speaking as one who loves to pick scabs, peeling sunburn skin etc. Mmmmmmm! Satisfying.

Soapbox · 28/03/2007 00:14

It is wonderful stuff!

You put some on a big lump of cotton wool and then put the wad of wet cotton wool on your hard skin bits. I usually put a pair of socks on over the top to keep it in good contact with my feet.

Leave for 30 mins and then start scraping.

You get a shaped scraper with different edges which are suitable for different bits of your feet.

You need to keep workign away at it though - as when you first start scraping it doesn;t seem that much will come off. Keep scraping though and it gradually starts to come off faster and then you get your big wadges of luverly skin deposits

It is enormously satisfying and you get almost an immediate effect. I used it twice weekly until my feet were in a good state then resorted to once weekly or less to keep them neat looking

I've been waiting for one of these threads

I went to the ideal homeshow the wekend before last and got one of those trial manicures. It was amazing, silky smooth and shiny nails, plus a free glass file for feet. And all you do is file away the hard skin and then lather on some vaseline. Just feeling rour heels after filing is amazing, it makes it sooo smooth and soft. I've tried no end of pumice stones, but this was instant! No more grating when pulling socks off
It was something like (www.betterware.co.uk/productdetails.aspx?pid=019364&cid=173&language=en-GB\this} I jsut use it once a day and then lather on vaseline. I've done a pedicure with the nail kit and my feel look better than they ever have and defo ready for flip flops.

My local chinese nail bar charges about half that.

Kelly1978 · 28/03/2007 01:20

oh welll, get this one done then seek out a good chinese nail bar

I'd love to be able to go, my local seems to do wonders with feet, but I don't liek my feet being touched so can't quite face u to it.
