I've had anitchy bottom for what seems like forever. GP said it could be itchy bottom syndrome and gave me some cream which was worse than useless. She took a vaginal swab while I was there and turns out I have thrush. She said this could be causing the itchy bottom, but cant believe this! never heard of it before, any other poor soul experience this/know anything about it??
Am desperate....!

Yes it can give anal itching but is still treated vaginally. I kept getting it at one time and was prescribed pessaries but in the end some antibiotics taken orally knocked it on the head (or bottom) and I haven't had it since.

Thrush can happen in all sorts of damp and dark places. Some suffer it under their breasts too.
