Hi,

I have had an awful few weeks at work and it has really unsettled my stomach. I am also an anxious traveller due to my ibs. Had very plain food today but tummy is so sore and bad out of nowhere. Anyone got any tips or tricks for how to get on the plane and do a 5 hour journey? So worried about it. Had a panic attack in car tonight after eating out and thought I was going to have an accident in the car.

Immodium is your friend.

Giraffeski · 15/07/2017 22:49

Loperamide?

gamerchick · 15/07/2017 22:50

Get the Imodium ibs relief from Asda. It's slightly different to Imodium in that it calms the cramps as well as stop everything else.

It's not that cheap but awesome stuff.

Yeah I took some of the ibs relief tonight and agree much better than normal stuff but it only held it at bay for a couple of hours. Thanks for replies. I have 3 boxes already going out to get some more in the morning!

Good luck. Would it help to stop eating for a while? And just have drinks? I really hope you have a good trip. Smile

Yes molly that's what I do really but thought I should have something yesterday to tide me over as flight not until 4 so will be a long day. I cut down on food 3/4 days before I travel too. I am one of those unusual people who lose weight on holiday Shock just going to stick to water today. Woken up with pains and anxiety over it. Once I have a flare up takes about 4-5 months to settle. Went from a size 12-8 last time about 3 years ago.

Oh no. That sucks. Have you had this properly investigated? Perhaps you should consider this when you get home. I hope you can relax a bit more and your tummy settles down so you can enjoy your holiday.

Minime85 · 18/07/2017 10:43

Lonicera had it investigated on and off over last 20 years including cameras and blood tests etc. When I go to the doctors they offer me peppermint oil tablets. Sad
