I'm wondering if this burn looks normal for day 6 or if it may be slightly infected. I can't find any photos online that I could compare it against. Pictures to follow

If you don't mind my asking how did you do it? Mine is a long story but basically boiling hot milkSad

Sorry seen that you explained how it happened. Similar to what happened to me.

Another one thinking cellulitis.

If you start to feel at all unwell this morning then get yourself to a&e.

Hope the anti biotics have started working though and that you're feeling better this morning.

You poor thing hope it gets better soon

Whoknewitwastrue · 15/07/2017 13:33

You can see the cellulitis from that photo it's actually over quite a large area. Hope you are feeling better Op and the antibiotics kick in quickly Flowers

I ended up getting very sick from the antibiotics so had to go back early and get new ones. I'm allergic to amoxicillin so only had 2 options. The doctor said there seems to be slightly less redness but it would take 48 hours to tell for sure. I personally think it looks horrendous as it's started to turn yellow but no fever and not really any more spreading so it should be okay

Ah poor you!

Have they drawn around the red area to check for spreading?

Hope you feel better soon and just keep a real close eye on it, don't hesitate to go back if you feel at all worse.

Whoknewitwastrue · 15/07/2017 20:57

They are all good signs it's not spreading and no fever but it absolutely looks horrible for you. Rest and eat well, your busy needs lots of nutrients to do lots of healing. You poor thing, take care of yourself.

TondelayaDellaVentamiglia · 15/07/2017 21:01

isn't it any burn bigger than your hand that should be seen by a medic?

Hope your new tablets work quickly OP?

FabulouslyGlamorousFerret · 15/07/2017 21:01
