Natural Cycles - anyone tried?

I've had to come off standard contraception because the hormones seem to trigger migraines.

I've been reading a bit about Natural Cycles, which sounds perfect as I'd quite like some warning about my random heavy periods too.

But it seems a bit too good to be true. Has anyone tried it?

I've been using this app for 1 year now successfully. I am preventing pregnancy and it has worked great for me. My routine is very regular, I have a regular cycle and my partner and I are happy to avoid during high fertility times. I, personally, abstain or use protection about 2-3 days either side of fertility windows just to add my own buffer in addition to the app's.

If you're using it to prevent pregnancy, remember: If in doubt, DON'T have unprotected sex.

I have had zero pregnancy scares nor have I fallen pregnant using this app. I trust it but you must go by what your body is doing. I encourage anyone to pair this app with the book Taking Charge of Your Fertility by Toni Weschler.

I've enjoyed learning about my body, what my normal temperature is, etc. It has value outside of fertility as thyroid issues can be detected by low body temps, etc. I'm going to keep using it. For me, it's been a great experience.
