So, why does the doctor need to see me re: full blood count?

Had some blood tests yesterday- not completely clear why, but was part of a health check I was invited in for. Nurse then mentioned possible link to diabetes as I had gestational diabetes in both pregnancies.

Today I get a message to call the surgery. I need to go in - not to see nurse, which was already booked, but to see doctor on Monday.

If it was really bad they would have dragged me in sooner, wouldn't they? What can they have found out so quickly? Diabetes? Anaemia?

Could be anything, unfortunately! I got 'the call' and it was a severe Vitamin D deficiency (that was rectified with a high dose course of Vit D).

Call tomorrow and see if you can get a telephone consultation , it could be anything but I would have thought if it was that serious the Dr would have called you . No point worrying until Monday though .
