ILL or side effects from MMR

Hi,

My dd (19months) has had runny nose, slight cough for over a week

On wednesday she had her mmr and new injection (pnu ??). Nurse confirmed she was well enough to have injections as she hadn't had a temp.

Since the mmr she has been clingy, got temp, bright red cheeks on and off, basically not doing anything. She is drinking lots, eating ok ish. Yesterday she had really cold hands and feet but seem ok this morning

Anyway i am not sure whether to take her to gp ? or if its mmr, nurse said she would not have any side effects, or maybe even teething. I'm confused!

Anyone had similar experiences?

Took dd to gp she has chest infection, but i am not sure all symptoms are from this

What are the side effects to look out for from mmr ?

My ds got mild mumps about 7-10 days after having the mmr.

Chocohead - the reaction to the MMR takes about 7-10 days so occur IIRC. Only one of my children reacted to it (about 10 days later) and he had a whopping great temperature and no other apparent symptoms (but he was very prone to hight temperatures at that age). It does sound like your dd was ill already and it is not the MMR that is making her feel bad. I am surprised they gave her the jab though given her symptoms.

Thanks for your replies

She will probably recover from the chest infection then feel ill from mmr!

I am a bit annoyed they advised me she was ok to have it and now she has lots to contend with. Bless her
