Minoxidil - hair loss

I have been using minoxidil from the belgravia centre- but it's really expensive. Just bought Regaine for women and it comes as a mousse. Completely useless. Just melts in my hand before it reaches my scalp. Such a waste of money. Anyone have any alternative recommendations?

I tend to buy minoxidil from the States as it is much cheaper. The one I am currently using is kirkland, I think. I have used others in the past, they all seem much of a muchness and you can get really good prices if you buy 3 or 6 months at a time. Try ebay or amazon or google search and take it from there. I did not get on with the foam either, it seems hard to control the amount you are using

Have you tried the nioxin system? Has really helped my thinning hair due to medication, although you do need to keep using it to keep new hair growth. I find the £20 pack (approx) lasts a month, the bodifying foam is great too. Some salons advise what to use and they do a scalp microdermabrasion treatment, but there is also an online selector to help choose. Not sure if this would work out cheaper for you?
