Breast cyst/hospital referral??

Hi, just wondering what other people's experiences are regarding suspected breast cysts and hospital referrals.

I went to see my GP the other day with a small lump that I suspected of being a cyst, after Googling (yes I know!) the symptoms.
GP said it's a cyst, so was relieved, but she then referred me to the breast clinic for tests.
I got my appointment through today for 11July.
I did quiz the doc at the appointment and she said she wasn't worried, it's just procedure.

Do they just say that to stop you from worrying too much or is she genuinely not worried?

I know people can't comment on my situation specifically but has anyone else had the same thing?

Thanks in advance x

Having just gone through this with a family member it is just procedure to do tests. They will probably do a mammogram and ultrasound just to double check that they are cysts as they can not be 100% sure until these tests.

My nan has been given the all clear and confirmation they are cysts but they want to redo the tests in another 6 months. A real belt and braces approach. They can also drain the cysts during ultrasound if necessary.

Thank you that's reassuring.
That's exactly what I wanted to hear...other people's experiences.
