dd has been quite vile for 2 weeks, had an ear infection, and now has a few blistery type spots on her legs, but on her bum, torso and back she just has marks where she has been scratching but no obvious spots. Could this be the pox? ds had it so long ago i can't remember

could be. I'd take her to the doc's tomorrow if I were you to check diagnosis. poor thing, sounds like she's had a time of it!

Think they can get mild cp where they only get a few spots. A few of my friends have had dcs with this rather than the full-blown version: just a handful of the blisters in a localised area like you're describing. But beware because they can ctahc it again if they get it mildly the first time so she won't be immune after this (if it is cp)

can take a while for them to come out, it sounds like it could be to me

it does sound like chicken pox. When ds1 had it he only had a few spots/blisters.

Have a look at this , if you are still worried call nhs direct.

Failing that emergency docs, they will only confirm whether r not she has it and advise you to give her calpol and cool baths.

thanks all, she's not really unwell. May pop her down to go in the morn just to get it confirmed
