Thighs rubbing together, advice on how to soothe the soreness

I'm not overweight but my legs right at the top have always touched and in hot weather they rub together and become sore.

They're really sore right now and it's like friction burn. They sting whenever I walk.

Does anyone have any suggestions on how to soothe this and stop it from getting worse, I've tried baby powder and it's ok until the sweat makes the powder come off. I haven't tried anything else and can't think of what to try.

I'm sure I'm not the only one with this problem, can anyone help?

Bandalettes are bloody brilliant, wore them all day yesterday, didn't roll down or get sweaty. Much airier than shorts under a dress.

KissMyShoe · 20/06/2017 13:45

How's your thighs today ladies? I got some roll on deodorant to put on mine. Haven't done it yet though as I haven't needed to. Not wearing a dress today

I have some bodyglide to try but am waiting to be brave enough to try it ;)

Might take my shorts off in a bit and put some on...

TheHodgeoftheHedge · 20/06/2017 15:10

I have taken the plunge... will let you know how this afternoon goes ;)

singapore The blue one. It wasn't a conscious decision, but I do object to being marketed pink stuff just because I'm female, so that probably did it for me

Maria1982 · 20/06/2017 15:28

When I say conscious I mean I didn't do loads of research into pink vs blue!

SingaporeSlander · 20/06/2017 15:31

Thanks Maria!

BodyGlide review so far...had on a couple of hours and so far, so great! Now the test comes - this evening's commute home including walking and trains in the heat. I know you're all hanging on my every word, so i'll let you know asap how I get on ;)

picklemepopcorn · 20/06/2017 18:51

My thighs are so big, I can't believe the badollettes would be a good move...

TheHodgeoftheHedge · 20/06/2017 20:26

Well a very, very hot and sweaty journey home and I'm still in complete thigh comfort thanks to Body Glide. VERY impressed!

KissMyShoe · 20/06/2017 20:55

@TheHodgeoftheHedge yay body glide was a winner then, I haven't tried anything today as wasn't wearing a dress so I didn't need to. But I will tomorrow

@KissMyShoe I am really pleased with it. If I'd made that journey with totally "bare" legs, I'd be wincing now and my inner thighs would be inflamed and rubbed raw and I'd be smothering them in sudocrem. But tonight I'm chilling and have nice normal legs! Hurrah!

SingaporeSlander · 21/06/2017 12:18

Hodge great - glad it was a winner, am trying this weekend!

NameChange30 · 21/06/2017 12:48

These beauties* arrived this morning.

*Disclaimer: not actually beautiful, although they don't look too bad.

I'm wearing them today with a new dress and they're comfy Smile

Mitchum roll on didn't work for me, sadly. Off to try something else!

HopeClearwater · 21/06/2017 19:07

Chub rub - another blow for the 'intelligent design' argument!

Bubblysqueak · 21/06/2017 19:12

Liquid talc will work but you need to reapply every few hours, you get it from the baby aisle.

Itscurtainsforyou · 21/06/2017 19:35

I tried bandellettes a few years ago when on holiday. They were hopeless on me, rolled up it fell down. Sweating didn't help much!

KissMyShoe · 21/06/2017 19:45

Used Mitchum creamy deodorant today (first time trying anything out) lots of rubbing together but no soreness!!! Yay!!

i bought some cotton legging type things on ebay...the lovely description in pidgin english made me laugh, however my modesty is protected, my beauty enhanced, and my thighs are not chafed

I bought them as I wear a lot of tunic type dresses and am fearful of flashing just too much upper thigh when reaching or bending, so they suit better than your standard long legged knicker, and i have them to match my frocks!

CS2006 · 21/06/2017 22:06

Another fan of udderly smooth chamois cream. It's great! I buy a huge tub of it from amazon but you can also buy it in small tubes...woyld be ideal handbag size in case it wears off Wink
