have you changed your liquid recently?

My first thought was that this is how my fruit allergies started, sore but also itchy.

NormaSmuff · 16/06/2017 11:06

Could be the start of dry mouth. Keep an eye on this. Have you dry eyes?

NormaSmuff · 16/06/2017 11:11

i havent noticed dry eyes.
perhaps it is age related, ie menopause problems?

thanks maud

No bother Norma hope you get sorted.

DonkeyOaty · 16/06/2017 17:43

Norma I've had to abandon eating pineapple as it gives me a sore tongue and mouth. Citrus and tomatoes can have a similar effect but not often.

NormaSmuff · 16/06/2017 20:26

I love tomatoes and eat them every day so hope this improves

Various foods cause this for me, Vanilla flavouring, chocolate (sob) and dairy stuff especially yoghurt

BusterGonad · 16/06/2017 20:36

Thrush of the mouth? Only guessing though!

BusterGonad · 16/06/2017 20:37

Oral thrush. Just correcting myself!

OpalIridescence · 16/06/2017 20:40

I had this before finding out I was anaemic.
My tongue kept getting really sore and I had a reoccurring ulcer on roof of my mouth.

If it doesn't improve maybe you should request a blood test. Good luck!

MsCupcake · 16/06/2017 20:54

I was going to suggest anaemia until you said you ate tomatoes.... every year I forget, and every year as soon as the UK tomatoes are in the shops I can't resist and ow ow ow.... sore mouth again!!

NormaSmuff · 16/06/2017 21:12

do others who have this know why?

OP posts:
DonkeyOaty · 16/06/2017 22:27

Its one of those things. Geographic tongue.

I would encourage you to consult your dentist of course - in case there's a mouthwash or summink that can help.

dotdotdotmustdash · 16/06/2017 22:43

I've just been diagnosed with Folate Deficiency Anaemia. There have been lots of symptoms but one of the most recent has been a sore tongue and mouth ulcers. It's worth a chat with your Gp.

OutandIntoday · 16/06/2017 22:52

Fresh pineapple does this to my mouth!

MegGriffin · 17/06/2017 23:00

And b12 deficiency causes sore tongue.
