BFing, no periods but lots of discharge - what does this mean?

So DD has just turned one, and I am still BF her 3-4 times a day. I haven't had any menstrual bleeding at all. The other day I had quite painful stomach cramps (unusual for me, I never really get period pains) and umm, well, a LOT of clear discharge. It was odourless and quite thin, it actually went down onto my inner thighs.

This went on for 3-4 days and now (2 days later) I am still a bit damp, although it's much reduced.

Do you think this might be menstruation returning? (I'm definitely not pregnant).

DEFINITELY not pregnant, I'll be calling the newspapers if I am (DH is abroad).

Can you ovulate without having periods?

i imagine you have to ovulate before your first period iyswim

Don't know if you're still watching this thread NMUCM, but I just found it searching 'discharge' as I've had the same thing for a few days now (DD is 4 months and I'm BF). Are you still having it and did you ever find out anything more about it?

Hello, i am new here so bear with me

I don't breastfeed and i'm on the pill but i have lots of discharge at one point still, like im ovulating which confuses me as i thought the pill stops you ovulating?

I know what my ovulation mucas is like from when i was trying for my babies,

could the pill be not working as i have this mucas at around day 13+ into my pill packet?

I am worried as i took my last pill a few nights ago and since then each morning i have felt very ill, like morning sickness.

Have you changed type of pill recently?

No I haven't, I have been on it for close to a year.

Hmm, not sure then. Maybe have a look at the birth control threads to see if anyone's had a similar reaction to the pill?
