Hiya,

What a horrible day we had yesterday dd3 couldnt keep anything down not even water. She was throwing up everywhere. During the night she was a bit more sick but has since managed to keep 2 b/f down.

However, I have just changed the most awful nappy ever, urrgh! My Q is do I keep her off food today and just b/f her. Will this help settle her tum?

Thanx

Gastroenteritis most probably, yes it will calm down. Would be good if you could get some electrolade or similar rehydrating salts down her. Call the doctor, they can prescribe them. Or just go to the chemists and buy some. Just bfing is the best thing TBH. She'll recover remarkably quickly.

My DD had this, recovered in 24 hours and then I had it for a week

Enforce strict hand hygiene and get lots of rest. We caught ours at the child health HV clinic

Horrid isn't it! I went to the GP and as soon as we got to reception, she vomited all over me - of course I had a change of clothes for her. Worst bit was, the receptionist looked at me and said 'well at least we know you aren't faking it!' could have marmellised her

oh no, poor you. Being covered in sick when your'e out is awful. DD2 projectile vomited over me in the park last year. Worst thing was it was a fun day so the place was packed out. oh well the joys of having children! Cant think were dd has got this from tho. And its nice for the receptionist to have faith in you isn't it?

yes bb my poor washing machine is already loaded with several sicky towels and numerous sicky baby clothes. At least i can hopefully contain the contents of the nappy in her nappy (although she has been known to make a mess that way also) thanx for you advice
